Every week I help people quit smoking successfully without the withdrawal symptoms generally associated with quitting. Symptoms such as uncontrollable cravings, headaches, weight gain, irritability, and many more are caused by a war that is raging inside the mind of the smoker.
It begins something like this: At some point a person begins smoking (generally for a feeling of acceptance from peers) there are a few cases with other reasons to begin smoking but the bottom line is that at some point smoking went from being a thing that we don’t do, to something we might try, to being a part of who we are. Now every day the smoker reinforces this belief and begins to associate activities with smoking.

1 in 8 with lung cancer show asbestos exposure, study finds

The research team said the number of people who died from asbestos-related lung cancer might amount to several thousand people a year.
In fiscal 2007, only 660 people were recognized as suffering from asbestos-related lung cancer and thus eligible for government aid, indicating that many lung cancer patients are excluded from the aid as the exposure has not been confirmed as the cause of their diseases.

Bayer tests Nexavar against lung cancer in Phase III

Bayer and Onyx Pharmaceuticals have started a late-stage trial testing its drug hopeful Nexavar on lung tumours in a fresh attempt to get the treatment approved against the most common cancer form.
The study in the third and last phase of testing usually required for regulatory clearance will involve about 850 lung cancer patients who could not be helped by two or three previous treatments, the companies said on Monday.
